Asking this question will lead to you understand if you have most of your best memories at home or in the great Pacific Northwest outdoors. If you or your children are happier at home, choose an indoor family photo session. You can pick an activity to do and we can take photos around it. Some indoor family sessions can also move outdoors if you have a backyard to explore.
If you and your children enjoy being in nature, an outdoor lifestyle family session will be ideal. I help you pick the best location for you based on familiarity and what you like doing together as a family.

Which family milestones are coming up in the year?
Are you adding a new human or furry member to your family in the year? Maybe the baby you has last year is turning one of the one you had some 18 odd years ago is graduating high school soon. All these are family milestones that you could commemorate with a family photo session. When you know the answer to this question you can start planning. A bump to baby photo package gives you a maternity and newborn photo session at a huge discount. Additional family member are welcome for both sessions. A photo session for your Everett high school senior has about 10 minutes of a complimentary family photo session with immediate family members, at the end.

Do I have extended family visiting?
Grandparents visiting from out-of-town is always a great time to schedule your Everett family photo session. On the other hand, you can book a family photo session if you are visiting the Seattle area to see the grandparents. I do not charge extra to include additional family members in your family photos. A lifestyle family photo session with me is always memorable and the photos you get from it makes for a great gift for your family members.

Is there an event where multiple family members will be present?
Bat Mitzvahs, major milestone birthday parties and family reunions are some of the best times to book an extended family photo session. These photo sessions might look a bit different than what you see in my family photo portfolio because I would be photographing this more like an event. I include a few posed and candid group photos but a majority of the photos (depending on the event) will be or candid interactions of you and your family. Think about me as a roaming photographer. If a photo session is the the only reason your family is present at a location, then there will be more creativity involved from me as your photographer.

I send out a newsletter every quarter to my mailing list subscribers. Each of these emails have exclusive deals only for subscribers. I also used these emails to announce paid or complimentary mini sessions through the year so it’s a great incentive to join, if you haven’t already.

What time of the year do you like the best?
The Seattle area has amazing weather in the summer and in a perfect world, every family photo session would happen when we could predict the weather. However, if you’re like me, you love the spring or fall weather. Both these seasons have chances of rain so sessions may have to be moved indoors in some cases. Families tend to schedule family photos between September to November so if you’d like to beat the rush, book as soon as you know when you want to do family photos. If you would like to book your 2024 family photos for next year, I am offering a 10% discount on my current family photo session prices until the end of the year 2023. All you need to be sure of is the month and I will remind you when it comes time to pick a date.
