Hi, I am Edlyn.
I am a lifestyle family, maternity and newborn photographer based outside Seattle, in Everett, Washington. Life moves by so fast but having photos to look back on has always given me some comfort. Every moment precious to me, I can recall with a photo. I take this feeling to every photo session with every family, helping them remember how wonderful it feels to love each other.
I moved here from a vibrant coastal part of India called Goa, where I lived to explore nature and hang out with my sisters and friends. We went to the beach, swam in flowing rivers and went on long walks soaking in what are now moments on my fingertips. One of my favorite memories as a child was looking through my parents' cupboards, trying to make up stories of the people they were. My mama had so many love letters sent to her from my father and his cupboard had old school gadgets and cameras.
My sisters and I have been playing with film, phone and digital cameras for as long as we could remember. I only started seeing the gift of photography as a passion when I volunteered as a photographer for Rain City Rock Camp in Seattle in 2013. With the help of the community, I was able to grow in confidence and skill simply by noticing the beauty in human interactions and relationships .
I now live in Everett where I am a family, maternity and newborn photographer in the area. I work with families taking candid, natural photographs showcasing their natural connections with each other. I am always learning, growing, breathing and looking for ways to help you remember the tiny beautiful moments as we go along.

What you can expect from your session
I aspire for you to have the most immersive, fun and joyful photo session. I guide my families through the session, making sure they connect in ways that feel natural to them. There isn't much posing involved and I won't ever ask your kids to cheese for the camera. I make sure I get to know you in advance of our session so that when the day comes, I find ways to help you connect with each other. I want you to focus on your family so you can have photos that show you in all your beautiful perfect imperfections. I guarantee an experience that never feels stressful and leaves you with only the warmest, fuzziest memories of that time. If you feel like you had a great time as a family, then my job as your photographer is (mostly) complete.
I am inclusive and work with all types of families - queer, extended, child-free, pet families - so don't hesitate to reach out if you're in Everett, Mill Creek, Mukilteo, Lynnwood, Bothell, Seattle or beyond.

HOW DO I BOOK YOU FOR MY PHOTO SESSION?
It’s easy! Visit my contact page and send me an inquiry. If email is not your cup of tea, you call me on 425-931-7867 and leave me a voicemail. I will get back to you between 24-48 hours.
If we move forward, you will book your session with a 50% deposit.
I send you questionnaire to get to know you and your family better.
The day arrives and we have the best time.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
My photography style aims to capture candor and I give direction accordingly, so I can freeze you in those delicious in-between moments.
My editing style focuses a lot on true colors and light. I try to capture the mood as it was, as much as I can while editing.
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
I give lots of posing prompts and ideas so the photos have as much of a natural feel as possible. If you have no experience being photographed? GREAT! That makes you my ideal client and I would love to help you achieve the photo gallery of your dreams.
How soon should I book my session?
I recommend booking me 2 months ahead, if possible so that you get your preferred date and times for your sessions.
For any session you can book as far as a year in advance.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
Newborn sessions can happen as soon as a few days after birth or as far out as 3 months.
If you like that curled up newborn baby look, then let's book your session a few weeks after your baby is born.
I personally prefer when the baby is a little older (2-3 months). The parents are a little more comfortable with their routine and the baby is more expressive.
How soon will I get my photos back?
During busy season (August to December) you can get your photos back in 2-3 weeks or less. Our contract should specify this timeline.
If you require your photos sooner, I add a small rush fee and you can be moved to the front of the line.
It helps to book in advance to get your photos exactly when you need them.
