Hello, I am Edlyn of EGD Photography. Working in the Seattle area, I've photographed authors, musicians, students, tech and corporate professionals for over 5 years travelling to various locations and also at my home studio in Everett. I have learnt to anticipate questions that might arise prior to a headshot session but nothing will match what you expect when you finally have to sit in front of the camera. Then what comes after? Here is all you need to know when you book your photo session with me.
it takes 30 minutes
Whether you choose to visit my home studio in Everett or I travel to you, we will spend the 30 minutes in a fun and engaging way to help me photography you in your best light. The hope is that I am able to get some posed and candid photos that look professional. I have a grey, black and white backdrop and we can choose the best ones for you.
you bring outfit choices
Come to your photo session wearing your first outfit choice and I suggest bringing 2-3 more options to get variety in your gallery. The options can include blazers, ties, sweaters, or shirts. Make sure your outfits fit you well, are clean and wrinkle-free (try them on at home). I have a space for you to change and check out your appearance before the next set of photos.
You receive a digital gallery
The photo gallery from our photo session will have between 30-50 photos. The gallery link is shareable so if you'd like to share it with a close confidant, it is very easy to do so. The headshots are lightly edited to give you an idea of what you can expect from the final delivered headshots.
You select your favorites
I highly recommend looking at all your photos on a desktop PC. This will give you details you won't see if you check out your gallery on your phone. Once you look at all the photos, you will choose your favorites by clicking the "heart" button that shows up on each photo.
I edit your final five images
I spend about 2 hours editing your final selections. I will digitally retouch the five photos you choose for lighting, small blemishes, flyaway hairs and any other spots that need minor correcting. There will be lots of zooming in to every part of the headshot so I get them to a place where you are completely satisfied. If there are any other editing requests you would like to make, please feel free to email me and ask about them.
you download your photos
Once I am done editing, I email you the gallery with the high-resolution photos. I can resize the images for Web or Email, if needed. You can download your images as many times as you like to any device of your choice. Every gallery has a PIN which will be required prior to download.

The duration of a standard headshot session is 30 minutes. You can bring 2-3 outfits to change into. Background choices are grey, black or white. I send you a gallery of the best images and you get to choose 5 photos from here.
