why a photo session at Marina beach Park is a great idea
I am talking specifically about Marina Beach Park in Edmonds WA! The view from this beach in Snohomish County makes it a popular location for family photographers during the summer and fall times when the daylight is still long and the sunsets are stunning. The beach is very accessible with plenty of parking close to the waterfront. There is a play area, dog park and lots of picnic spots. If you walk a little bit, you can also find areas of the beach with less people. It's a fun place to do a family photo shoot in Edmonds, hit the playground after or if you're an engaged couple, you can have a romantic dinner at one of the restaurants in the downtown Edmonds area after.

The yacht club in Edmonds also makes for an artistic backdrop for candid photos. Something about having sailboats and the water in your photos feels like sailing off into the forever sunset, which is what Western Washington is known for in the summer time. This couple was fully onboard for candid photos to celebrate their engagement and wedding in a belated way with these photos. We had originally planned to go to Discovery Park beach in Seattle but after realising what a long trek down it would be, we decided to go with Marina Beach Park.

A fenced dog park, wide views of the Puget Sound, a marine sanctuary, a fishing pier and close to downtown Edmonds - Marina Beach is a great spot to visit even if you're not doing family photos. The ferry terminal is close by and you can catch a ferry to Kingston WA if you're feeling adventurous.
