There is more of a documentary style feel to these photos and as your lifestyle newborn photographer, you will be guided to what you need to do for your gallery to turn out beautifully. These images are some of the most genuine as the most adults and kids are in a haze of endorphins after they welcome a new family member. So how do I document your newborn baby after you bring them home? These tips are part of my approach and I share them in more detail with families looking to book a newborn session with me.

There is no better place than the cozy comfort of the parents' arms for a newborn photo shoot. As an Everett Newborn Photographer, I love meeting families where they are after they have given birth. This could be at a hospital, home or birth center. This mama brought home her baby from a birth center in Arlington WA, a few hours after giving birth so her Fresh 48 session took place in their bedroom. She bonded with her baby on their bed as we took a few photos of this precious fleeting time.

For any in-home newborn photography session, I prefer working with natural light. There simply needs to be one large window and I can create most of the photos you will see on this page. My style for in-home newborn photo shoots leans towards the mood of the space so I don't make any modifications to light. I think it lends to the story of your newborn journey to choose raw natural light.

Before your baby even arrives, I help you put what you need to in place with my session-planning guide for in-home newborn photos. You receive the guide after you book, with a checklist of things you can do at your own pace before baby arrives. Once your baby is born, you or a family member just need to send me a text message and we will schedule a date for me to come around and photograph them in your beautiful home, birth center or hospital in the Everett WA area.
