Everyone is so excited to bless the arrival of a baby but you tend to forget those in-between days where you were growing your new life. Maternity photos serve as lasting memories, allowing parents to look back and reminisce about the anticipation they felt during this phase. The best time to book your lifestyle maternity is when you are at 30-36 weeks of your pregnancy. This is when you're hopefully comfortable in the middle or end of your third trimester. However, anytime you feel like you are ready can be the right time. Just remember to book your maternity session with your photographer at least a month ahead so they can plan your session. I first met this family when we worked together at a mobile food business in Seattle. At that point they were still in the early stages of their relationship so to be able to photograph them as mom and dad felt like such a full circle moment for me.
